If you prefer you could email me on jo@qmpr.co.uk and I will put you in contact with them and MCS Sea Champions team.

We are hoping to incorporate a litter survey too, as the information gathered is used by MCS to tackle the problem at source.

Why is beach cleaning so important?
“Some of our best-loved marine wildlife is under threat from the waste and litter in our seas. Hundreds of species of marine wildlife accidentally eat or become tangled up in litter. In addition to harming wildlife, litter on our beaches is hazardous to people and costs millions to clear up. We all have a part to play in turning the tide on litter.” MCS www.mcsuk.org

This is us surveying Tan-Y-Foel beach on Anglesey in September. We surveyed 100m of beach as as part of the Marine Conservation Society’s annual UK wide clean up and survey to fight against marine litter.

Where:
Porth Neigwl / Hell’s Mouth is a 4 mile beach, accessed through 500m of sand dunes from a car park near the village of Llanengan. Take the road from Llanengan towards the beach and as the road bends right a small car park is situated on the left.
