Anglesey Arts Weeks Open Studios and Galleries 2013

The event begins tomorrow, Saturday 23 March and runs over Easter. There are 57 artists and 8 galleries throwing open their doors to allow visitors to see this normally hidden world.

My friends Clare and Alison are inviting you to ARTWAVES, 26 Chapel Street, Beaumaris LL58 8DS.

“This year we are showing from home! Alison Englefield has some fascinating portraits based on family history called HONOURING THE ANCESTORS. There is an installation titled SHED based on the demolished mariners sheds at Gallows Point, as well as a collection of artefacts on wood – A LIFE LAID OUT.
All this and some of our findings from the VICTORIAN TOWN DUMP and lots of fun sculptures made with recycled memorabilia from Gallows Point. So we are both local and very quirky!” says Clare Calder-Marshall.

Clare and Alison’s studio and shed is open Saturday 23 March to Sunday 07 April – except Wednesday and Thursday.

To help you plan your Open Studios and Galleries visit, a Guide is available that contains opening days, times, a map and a route planner, and it is available to download here AAW 2013 GUIDE.
ARTWAVES is featured on page 8 of the GUIDE.
